DIY FeedMyPaws Recipe: 1 MINUTE Peanut Butter Banana Mug Cake!
Share
Over our break, we came up with a super simple dessert idea for your pups!! It's gluten-free, and only requires 3 everyday ingredients :) Ready? HERE WE GO!
What you'll need:
Ingredients: 1 ripe banana, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of organic pure peanut butter (optional: add a teaspoon of carob powder for a little oomph!)
Tools: A fork, a microwaveable mug, a microwave, a small bowl to mix everything in
Prep time: 5 minutes (at MOST, haha)
Squish everything together in a separate bowl, then pour half into your mug (this recipe makes 2 portions) like this! Pop it into your microwave on HIGH for 1 MINUTE.
TADAH!!! PEANUT BUTTER BANANA CAKE! HOW EASY WAS THAT?!
The natural oils in Peanut Butter prevents the cake from sticking to the mug, so it slides out suuuuper easily onto a plate where you can slice it up into little pieces! :)
Warm, fluffy, DELICIOUS! It was a pretty big portion for our two little boys so we helped ourselves to some. Okay, to half. Haha!
The recipe yields this portion :) 2 little mug cakes!
Look at that tongue. Someone approves, haha!
THEY LOVED IT! Hoovy (our little cuddle brownie) isn't really a fan of desserts, so I was surprised to find him shoving Skotch to get to this. Haha. Oh! One more thing I forgot to mention, this cake is best served warm as it tends to harden a fair bit once it's cold. The boys didn't seem to mind but I would definitely recommend having it while it's warm :) If you try out our recipes, tag us on Instagram (@FeedMyPaws) with the hashtag #feedmypawsrecipe or share a picture with us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/feedmypaws)! Thanks for this quick and easy recipe! 1/3 cup canned pumpkin in place of banana works wonderfully too!
I received a bone shaped microwave ‘cake pan’ that came with cake mix and icing mix but wanted to make my own from more natural ingredients. Your recipe will be perfect! Can’t wait to make this! Thanks!!
SO happy to hear that Julianna! Love the apple substitution and cucumber toppings too hehe. That sounds so yummy and healthy!!
I made this for my dog Gracie’s 1st birthday today and she loved it! She’s a 9-pound dog who ate the whole thing! I didn’t have and banana so I put in apple chunks instead and she was obsessed. I also put cucumbers on the top because she has a weird obsession with those too. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe!!!
